FAQ's

How many sessions can I have?

- Sessions are unlimited. You can have as many as you wish. When you decide to end your sessions, we can discuss and review this together to make sure you end safely.

How much do you charge for sessions?

- £50 per 50 minute session.

When can I start?

- As soon as you are ready, therapy can begin; there is no waiting list. I will discuss suitable availability with you to ensure your sessions are at a time convenient for us both.

Do you offer any other types of therapy?

- Currently I only offer Person-Centered Therapy.

Where will the therapy take place?

- I offer both remote sessions (phone or video call), or face to face sessions in Braunstone and Thurmaston,  where I have access to some lovely counselling rooms.

Is counselling right for me?

- I believe counselling can help everyone! Talking helps us to process our feelings and emotions in a safe, non-judgemental environment that is very different to speaking with friends, family and loved ones. However, if you feel it is not the right thing for you, or don't quite feel ready, there is no obligation to continue. 

What if I don't know what to talk about?

- This is very common so don't worry! It can be difficult to know where to start - should you wish, you can write down some discussion points to give you a starting point. However,  if you don't know what to talk about, your therapist can gently guide you and help to refocus you appropriately.

How do I make a complaint?

- I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. You can contact them on 01455 883300 or https://www.bacp.co.uk/and follow their complaints procedure.

Are the sessions confidential?

- Yes. All sessions are confidential, however there are some important limits to confidentiality based on duty of care and legal reasons, which will be discussed with you before your counselling begins.

Do you work with children?

- I currently only work with adults over the age of 18
